Quit Trying Harder

By Dr. Jesse Ritter

How many times in your life have you found yourself feeling like you're beating your head against a brick wall trying to solve a problem?

We've all been there. Frustrated by repeated efforts to move through an obstacle, we try harder and harder to defeat it. More time. More effort. More of the same.

"More of the same" usually gets you more of the same.

Too often, we try to to apply more effort to get through the obstacle instead of simply side stepping it and leaving it in our dust. This requires stepping back and creating energetic space to shift gears.

I, like you, place a high value on strong work ethic, self-discipline and persistence. These virtues are powerful contributors to success and achievement. Sports Championships and World Wars are won because of such virtues.

However, when we're struggling to produce that breakthrough we're looking for, we must often approach things differently mentally and physically.

Of course, this lesson applies to your dental health and smile power. Often times, people believe that teeth will inevitably fall apart over time.

They may also feel like they take care of their teeth pretty well. They brush and floss and fix things when the dentist says it's broken.

They may also believe that having an incredibly healthy and stable mouth and smile that reflects their most authentic and powerful self just isn't in the cards for them.

Guess what? It is.

First though, they've got to let go of the fact that it has to be hard. That it's going to be years and years of reacting to problems and fixing one tooth at a time.

The truth is a person's dental health and smile power can be transformed in as little as a few days.

Yes, you read that right. Days. That's a fact.

How do I know? Because I've done it many times for patients of ours.

Solving life's most difficult problems requires a shift in thinking. An open mind. A willingness to let in new possibilities.

So, when you're feeling stuck, quit trying harder. Zoom out. Gain perspective. Tune into a new frequency of thought. You may find the solution has been right there the entire time. What you've wanted, it turns out, is actually within arms reach.

Life is too short. Reach out and claim what is yours. You deserve it.

We Are Looking For A Dental Assistant!

We are currently looking for a full time dental assistant. Hope, who helped us out in the summer time, goes back to Hygiene school next week. She has been wonderful to work with and we will miss her dearly.

If you know of any dental assistants who are looking for a full time position OR who may be content where they are but open to exploring a great opportunity, please send them our way! :)
